Beaver Sleepover at HQ

The Beavers arrived at Neasham Road District HQ all excited with teddies and sleeping bags.  The night started with some games and team challenges then onto a Dance Off on the Nintendo. We had a disco on the large screen with disco lights and smoke machine.  The beavers cooked some s’ mores on the campfire.  We went on a hike to collect Barney the Bus walking through the train station on the way. They settled down for the night and all fell asleep quite fast.

Saturday morning all were up ready for some stretches and dancing before breakfast. Then all aboard Barney the Bus and off to Butterfly World at Preston Park.  We got to see all the butterflies and little birds in the giant greenhouse where it was extremely warm.  As we walked around we came across the pond with the large Koi fish. Then we went in to the reptile room where we found the tarantula meerkats and lizards.  We all really enjoyed our visit and seeing all the animals.

Once we left Butterfly world we ate our packed lunch then went for a hike through the woods and next to river.  Then before home the Beavers had a good time playing in the adventure playground and climbing the large slide and obstacle course.
