Date: 29th Jun 2018 Author: Richard Smith

Cub Camp. The cubs arrived at Raby for a weekend camp at the Groups Cabin, we arrived on Friday night set up camp and settled in for the night. Saturday morning all were up early and after breakfast and packed lunches were made we set off in Barney the Bus to go to find the Man on the Moor! After the short walk to the top we took some pictures and enjoyed the views and most importantly had our dinner!

Then we went to Runswick Bay for a splash in the Sea and to look for fossils and treasures on the beach. The cubs enjoyed breaking open rocks and found a few good fossils! Then on the bus back to Barnard Castle for Fish and Chips for Tea eaten at the park after we had walked around the WW2 weekend looking at the camps and troops.  Back at camp we had a game of relive camp fire then supper before bed

Sunday, we ate our breakfast then packed up camp and went for an explore on the estate to the witched house punch tree and roman baths! Once back at camp some of the leaders had set up the water slide and a paddling pool which was a great relief given the fantastic weather! Once all the leaders and cubs were suitably wet we headed for home!
