Gruffalo Hunting!

Squirrels went to Hamsterley Forrest to hunt the Gruffalo! 10 little Squirrels jumped on Barney the bus and headed off for a day of adventure at Hamsterley Forest.  We arrived around 10:30 and after checking, checking again and then a final check we all had our packed lunches.

Off to the playground we went.  The squirrels tackled the adventure playground first, working together they conquered all the obstacles and challenges.  We then went for a little walk into the woods and found a lovely spot for dinner. Sandwiches fruit and chocolate biscuits all round!

Then. This was it! the big moment! Off to find the Gruffalo! We marched through thick terrain fighting back monsters and wilder beasts overcame some mountains and raging rivers and right at the end there he was, The Gruffalo! After the important group pic it was time to welcome Mel as a leader into the group. Mel completed her promise and was awarded her badges and necker! WELCOME ABOARD MEL!

Then it was time to hit the road and back to Darlington.
