Joint Camp

Date: 23rd Jul 2019 Author: Richard Smith

Cubs from the 9th Darlington Harrowgate Hill joined our cubs for a weekend camp at The Cabin.  Friday night both groups arrived and settled into their tents before a night walk and campfire.  Saturday the Cubs were up early for a cooked breakfast and morning activities.

The Cubs went on a nature trail looking at edible plants then shelter building to sleep in and a hike to the castle taking in the witch’s cottage punch tree and roman baths.  The Cubs then stopped at the castle for dinner and a play in the adventure playground.  Once back at the site everyone went on a river walk.  BBQ for tea and free time in the woods before bed.

Sunday was spent packing up camp and then team games and wide games in the woods.  Everyone had a fantastic time and we can’t wait to have the 9th join us again.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
