Scout Camp and Kielder Visit

It was great to have a Scout camp at the group’s campsite The Cabin on Raby Estate, the first proper camp for some time due to Covid. On Friday night the Scouts set up camp pitching tents and collecting firewood. After supper and games in the woods all went to bed ready for Saturday.

Saturday morning everyone up early with breakfast on the go ready to head up to Hawkhirst Scout Adventure Centre on Kielder Water. The Scouts spent the day doing various activities such as tomahawk throwing, low ropes and climbing. Everyone had a fantastic time and would like to go back soon. Once back at camp everyone enjoyed Tea then played games in the woods and helped with the campfire.

Sunday was a lazy later start with Mylo not getting out of bed until after 10am! The scouts helped with some campsite maintenance collecting wood and clearing away dead trees.
