Scouts attended camp at Raby from the 10th to 12th June in the nice summer weather. They pitched camp on the Friday then went for a short hike around the loop before heading back for camp fire and bed.
Saturday the Scouts helped Russell with some campsite service collecting sorting and storing wood for the campfire. They sharpened their skills with the saw and axe’s and graded the wood into size filling the wood bunker. They completed a litter sweep and general tidy of the woods and camp area and assisted with some small repairs. Free time meant they could play Relievo and Predator in the woods followed by camp fire.
Sunday water day! Water pistols and water slide out for all. Amazing what you can make with some old advertising banners! With a pump at the top of the hill to aid the slide and water re-entering the river at the bottom it was quite a set up and certainly gave the dolphin centre a run for their money! Once all dry and packed away it was time to head home. Another fun and memorable camp for all.
