On Remembrance Sunday the 7th Darlington Sea Scouts met with Veterans, Current Soldiers and members of the public for the act of remembrance. This gives the group the chance to show respect to those who have given all during all conflicts around the world.
We met at Holy Trinity Church on Vane Terrace and then marched to the cenotaph at Darlington Memorial Hospital for the 2 minute silence and wreath laying.
It gives us the chance to remember, but also to pray and work for peace, looking forward with hope.
++ When you go home, tell them of us and say
For their tomorrow, we gave our today. ++
